Description
Solar Filter Adapter for Sony 70-350 G OSS (67mm)
Print this 3D adapter in two parts to protect your Sony 70-350 G OSS during eclipses or extreme conditions. It allows for quick removal of the solar filter during the maximum phase.
Materials Needed
- Solar filter “AstroSolar Safety Film OD 5.0” for example.
Cyanoacrylate
Design and Assembly
- Inner radius of the legs: 2 mm larger than the maximum lens diameter for quick removal.
- Inner diameter of the filter legs: 77mm
- Lid with relief to house the filter and glue to the base.
Take a sample from the middle part of the lid, cut it out and glue it with double-sided tape.
Assembly
- Join both parts with 4-8 drops of Loctite (cyanoacrylate) or similar adhesive on the lid.
Add fabric tape to the inside of the legs to prevent slipping without losing ease of use.
