Universal Stone Holder
Convenient for firmly holding CBN/Diamond Metal/Resin-bonded stones during flattening
Or for those who want to use stones without a guided angle sharpener and experience freehand sharpening
I mainly use this system for flattening stones or stropping my blades with various diamond compounds
The tool was designed to accommodate the 160x25mm standard
It fits all 160mm stones/strops with a “Dovetail” base, but also works fine with shorter stones (150mm), and stones without a base like Venev Centaur I haven't tried mounting stones longer than 160mm, but I don't think there are many on the market either
I think you can go a few millimeters longer, but I don't think 170mm stones will fit

I recommend printing in PETG, but it also works with PLA

Very little hardware is needed to complete the assembly:
M8 x 60mm bolt
M8 nut
I recommend purchasing them in stainless steel because during use, the hardware will be partially exposed to water during flattening or sharpening
These are the ones I bought: https://amzn.to/4mcPc08

Assembly notes:
Mount the nut in its housing, oriented with one edge of the hexagon pointing upwards as shown in the photo:

Mounting the knob is simple:
Slide the bolt into the knob's hole and fit the hexagon into its housing in the knob's body Then close everything with the screw cap
Use a coin to close the cap I used a 5 cent coin (€)
