Description
I got tired of having to take apart my store bought hummingbird feeders.
So I decided to design my own.
(Please let me know if you have any feedback)
Free standing, easy to clean, easy to print and replace.
Just screw onto a mason jar and set outside, simple!
Don't print in PLA, don't leave out in direct sunlight, and please clean or replace often.
4oz Mason Jars work great!
Amazon also has short and stubby 8oz jars (pictured)
If yours are tall, try to find some glass rocks and pebbles to lift the nectar level up.
Their tongue can extend to a distance about equal to the length of the bill, often reaching 1.5 inches past the tip of the beak.
Mix is 4 parts water to 1 part sugar.
(don't use honey, food coloring, etc. Only white granulated sugar)
Clean every 2-5 days to prevent fatal mold.
