Description

4-Inch Filter Cup with Carbon / Media Chamber

I originally designed this for myself, as I couldn’t find a filter cup that could properly handle loose media like carbon.

My Aqua One ReefSys 320 has a small sump that’s already crowded with equipment, so this was a simple solution for adding carbon or other media where water needs to flow through it for proper effectiveness.

After 32 versions and a lot of prototyping, I’ve finally achieved what I initially thought would be a simple design.

This will fit into any standard 4-inch sock hole.

After completing the main design, I created several different hole cut-out sizes to suit various types of media, allowing people to adapt it for their own needs.

Everything in the main print has been thoroughly tested. The additional parts are simply size variations.

About a 7 hour print , I think maker world is taken into account all 4 plates with different sizes.

This has taken me a lot of time to design and refine, so I’d really appreciate the exposure.
