Description
Welcome back, dear wizarding community!
For this special project, I'll start in German (English description see below).
I became aware of the special campaign by @JamesDaRock and his platform Pieksekiste through the "Pieksekiste" contest and was eager to support the project. Many thanks and my deepest respect to @JamesDaRock for this outstanding project.
After much thought about how to perhaps bring joy to children, the idea arose that I could develop a small toy or figure that attaches to a syringe. This led to the creation of "Pieksi," the syringe mascot. "Pikks," his little dog friend, will follow shortly thereafter.
What is Pieksi?
Pieksi is an easy-to-print attachment for a standard 12ml disposable syringe. It includes flexible legs that fit onto the plunger, flexible arms that clip onto the syringe barrel, and a head that attaches to the syringe opening. One head also offers the option for Pieksi to squirt water from its mouth.
Assembly:
I hope this model proves valuable for the project, and that you can be a part of it, as this model (although officially under the Standard Digital File License) is intended to have the following license.
I spent a long time considering how to handle the license because I strongly wish for everyone who wants to be able to participate in the development of Pieksi. At the same time, it is unfortunately true today that such models are often misused, and a lot of effort then becomes the basis for models that I might not wish to support.
Therefore, the following
Modified License Terms:
Individual Usage and Remix Policy
This model falls under the Standard Digital File License.
This means: Redistribution, re-uploads, and commercial use are generally not permitted.
Nevertheless, I explicitly want to enable creative further developments – but under the following conditions:
Modifications & Extensions
- Modifications, improvements, and extensions of this model are expressly permitted and encouraged.
- However, these must exclusively be published as a Print Profile on this model page. (My goal is to ensure that all extensions for this model are gathered in one central place)
- Please ensure that your adaptations benefit the community here.
Separate Uploads
- Uploading this model (even in modified form) as a standalone model is not permitted,
except with my prior written consent. Naturally, you can upload extensions that you have completely designed yourself without my consent; this rule exclusively applies to remixes. - You can contact me directly via MakerWorld at any time for this purpose.
Ideas & Collaboration
- If you have your own ideas for extensions, please feel free to message me.
- In many cases, I can also provide you with the STEP files to facilitate clean modifications.
Scope of Modifications
- Modifications must only relate to this specific model.
- The fundamental character and core idea of the model should be recognizably preserved.
- This model must not be used as a generic foundation for entirely different projects
(e.g., converting it into a flexi model or creating other independent designs without reference to the original).
Furthermore, this model can be explicitly used for "Pieksekisten", doctor's offices, pharmacies, hospices, daycares, schools, and other educational institutions!
Thank you very much for your understanding and support!
I look forward to every creative extension shared here with the community. Regardless of your idea or concern, please feel free to message me directly in the chat on MakerWorld.
For instance, the following ideas are currently being considered, which I won't be able to implement all by myself; for these, I would need the community's help:
- Adapting the arm and leg rings for different syringe sizes and models (I only had one variant of 12ml syringes available here)
- Suitable modification of the hands, so that a simple basis is provided for Pieksi to hold objects
- Knight armor for Pieksi
- A model for a stable plug-in system with which arms and legs can be extended as desired with a simple "extension piece"
- YOUR IDEAS! Therefore, please feel free to share ideas for extensions in the comments too
