Salice Hinge Plate Jig

Summary

Front-edge-referenced drilling jig for Salice Domi Euro-screw mounting plates.

Designed from scratch for Salice hardware. Credit to @Havlik for inspiration — his Blum hinge plate jig is excellent, but I needed a version for compatible Salice hinge plates.

Designed around the Salice BAPGR09/16, this jig also works with the Salice Domi Euro-screw mounting plates listed below. The built-in lip registers from the front edge of the cabinet side for repeatable placement.

Designed for 5 mm Euro screw drilling using 10 mm OD x 10 mm long x 5 mm ID steel drill bushings and a 5 mm drill bit.

Compatibility

This version supports the following Salice Euro-screw plate models:

These model families are shown in the Salice Silentia+ catalog under the Domi mounting plate section as 37x32 screw-in, Euro screw pre-mounted and 21+32 screw-in, Euro-screw pre-mounted plates. This jig does not include or reference the Salice plates that use the third hole fixing option.

Hole locations

• 21 mm + 32 mm from cabinet face for horizontal mounting plate
• 37 mm x 32 mm from cabinet face for cruciform mounting plate 

Bushing setup

Designed for 10 mm OD x 10 mm long x 5 mm ID steel drill bushings.

The bushings I used were a snug press fit:

Print Notes

Printed successfully in PLA on a Bambu Lab P2S using AMS for the inlaid face text.

Main print settings used

• Walls: 4
• Bottom layers: 5
• Top layers: 5
• Infill: 25%
• Infill style: Gyroid
• Wall generator: Arachne

Support settings used

• Supports: Enabled
• Support type: Tree
• Support style: Organic
• Initial layer expansion: 1 mm
• Top Z distance: 0.3 mm

Additional print notes

• Arachne wall generation made the text print much cleaner.
  In my testing, Classic wall generation resulted in blotchy letters/numbers.
• The counterbored bushing pockets printed best with supports enabled.
• Support in the bushing pockets can be pushed out from the bore side with a long bit or similar tool if they don't detach from the jig by hand.
• Printed face-down so the labeled face stays flat and clean.

Notes

• This version is intended for Salice Euro-screw horizontal and cruciform hinge plates
• A future version may be added for standard #8 wood screw hinge plates
• Bushing fit may vary by printer/material, so users may want to print a quick fit test before committing to the full jig
