Description
244:1 Increasing Compound Gear Train
Seven compound gear stages, each pairing a 12-tooth and 30-tooth gear, producing a 244:1 increase in speed. One full rotation of the lowest compound gear results in 244 rotations at the top.
Turn the compound gears directly, or use the optional knurled input knob - a 12-tooth driver gear that meshes with the first stage for a different kind of tactile experience.
Great for teaching or fidgeting!
See exploded image for assembly
Note: depending on the type and quality of filament (matte vs silky, old vs new), you may find that the top piece is more or less snug. If it's too loose for you, I suggest adding a few dabs of glue to keep it from coming apart. I've not found the need for glue yet.
Have fun fidgeting!
