AMS2 DryTray - Non-blocking holes & Pouring gap

Drying tray for AMS 2 with oblong holes that won't get blocked by the beads for superior airflow and a pour gap - no funnel needed to pour directly from the DryTray to your container.

Dry at 65c, PETG profile, 8-10 hours. 10 if fully saturated.

The holes are 1.5mm wide and the smallest beads in my batch is as small as 1.75mm and won't get stuck. Only broken beads and fragments gets stuck and can then be thrown away.

Print in high-temp filament. I used PETG HF. It sags very slightly after a full cycle using PETG HF but it won't affect anything and is barely visible. Picture taken after a 12 hour cycle. 8 to 10 hours is enough for normal stauration. Was storing the beads in my bathroom to speed up saturation before testing. They were fully saturated in 40% RH, so much so that the inside of AMS showed condensation in the corners first hour. The orange beads are after this cycle.
 

For a perfect first layer, print first layer with +5c bed temp, on a freshly cleaned plate. I added +5 bed temp 1st layer in print profile and it transfers to your print if you use the first filament profile in the “list". With these 2 preps, first layer was perfect all 4 times, all 1392 holes. Without, about 4 holes wasn't perfect 1st layer, tho just aestetically. Wanted the hole to surface ratio as high as possible for max airflow, which makes it more demanding. Glue can be used instead if preferred.

Right handed or Left handed version available for most convenient pouring.
