The Cat with the Pearl Earring - Bust
Print Profile(1)

Bill of Materials
Description
This sculpture originated from the idea of reinterpreting a great classic of art history in an original and accessible way. The inspiration comes from Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring, but here the subject becomes a cat, transformed into an elegant decorative bust with a strong visual impact

The result is an artistic animal bust that naturally combines art and design, without forcing it. The proportions, pose, and details recall the original work, but are adapted to create a unique object, designed for both art lovers and those looking for a quality 3D printable sculpture
This model is part of a new Naevo project: a collection dedicated to animals reinterpreted in an artistic key, inspired by the most famous masterpieces. The goal is to create recognizable, elegant, and coherent animal busts, perfect as decorative objects or collector's items
From a technical point of view, the model is designed to work well in FDM printing: the shapes are clean, the volumes are solid, and the details remain legible even at small sizes. It is a 3D sculpture designed to be beautiful to look at, but also simple to print

⚠️ Tips for Optimal Printing
To achieve the best result and avoid common FDM printing issues:
- Make sure the build plate is perfectly clean (IPA or soap and water) to prevent part or support detachment
- Set correct temperatures for filament and build plate
- Remove supports gently, preferably using pliers or appropriate tools, especially in areas near the earring
- Small artifacts on overhangs can be normal in FDM printing: light sanding easily removes them
- Perform good flow calibration and use well-dried filament to ensure clean surfaces and defined details
Proper printer preparation is essential to best showcase the model
