Design Concept

This flexi caterpillar toy is inspired by classic children's educational toys, aiming to stimulate children's creativity and hands-on ability through vibrant colors and movable features.

Usage

The flexi caterpillar is suitable for early childhood education, helping to improve infants' and young children's hand-eye coordination and sensory development, and is suitable as a teaching aid for use at home or in kindergartens.

Printing Recommendations

It is recommended to use a multi-color 3D printer, with PLA or ABS material, and a recommended layer height of 0.2mm to ensure a smooth appearance.

Assembly Instructions

The model accessories consist of three parts: the caterpillar's head, tail, and body. A rubber band is needed in the middle as a connection to ensure the caterpillar's elastic movement. During assembly, first thread one end of the rubber band through one end of the pin and tie a knot (or multiple knots) to secure it. Then thread the rubber band through the body sections and pass the other end of the rubber band through the other pin, tying it securely as well. When threading the accessories, a thin thread can be used as an aid: wrap the thin thread around the rubber band, then pass it through the spheres, and use the thin thread to pull out the rubber band. Finally, insert the caterpillar's head and tail onto the pins to complete the assembly.

Tips:

1 Due to differences in materials and printer types, print quality and tolerances may vary. After printing, if you find that the fit is too loose or too tight, you can scale parts of the model as needed.

2 If some connections are loose or fit too tightly, you can use some glue to secure them, or sand down the corresponding parts.
