Bill of Materials
Description
This model is a stylized map of Faroe Islands designed as a clean and modern fridge magnet. It combines a recognizable silhouette of the archipelago, with the iconic faroese flag on top, and the local name of the islands FØROYAR at the bottom; making it a great souvenir or gift.
The print requires an AMS (or equivalent multi-material system) to achieve the 4-color design. I used PLA Basic in blue and Matte in white, green and red for the best visual result.
For optimal detail — especially in the coastline — this model is specifically designed to be printed with a 0.2 mm nozzle at the provided scale. Using a larger nozzle will noticeably reduce the sharpness of the edges.
The piece is flat and only 3 mm thick, so take extra care when removing it from the build plate. Let it cool down completely before removal to avoid bending or deforming the model.
For the magnet, I recommend using a rectangular magnetic stickers 45x65x1.5 (CD007), which fits perfectly on the back.
I printed it using a BIQU Frostbite build plate with the visible side facing down (you will notice the model is inverted in Bambu Studio). This setup gives a very clean, smooth surface finish — almost indistinguishable from a non-3D-printed product.
