Description

A pair of lightweight, elegant and fully customizable hoop earrings.

 

This model is fully parametric, allowing you to easily adjust:

  • Hoop diameter
  • Hoop thickness
  • Attachment dimensions

Designed specifically for 3D printing, with no excessive overhangs (maximum 45° on both the hoop and the attachment).

Each earring has a small attachment hole at the top.

Simply use a jump ring to connect the hoop to the earring hook.

Download the Fusion 360 design file, open it, then go to Solid Modify Change Parameters to customize it.

Overhangs & Printability

This model is made for FDM 3D printing, avoiding any excessive overhangs.

  • Hoops are round, with a profile starting at 45° to prevent firsts layers deformation
  • Attachments use 45° chamfers.

Printing recommandations

  • Use a 0.2 mm or 0.4 mm nozzle 
  • Enabling the Arachne wall generator helps for the attachement hole.
  • Print on a smooth build plate (smooth PEI or similar).
  • When printing with silk filament, use the silk print profile for a glossier finishes or follow the printing with silk filaments recommandations:
    • Outer wall speed is reduced to 40mm/s.
    • Normal printing acceleration is reduced to 5000 mm/s.
    • Outer wall acceleration is reduced to 3000 mm/s.
  • If you experience adhesion issues, make sure your build plate is thoroughly cleaned.
