Description
I wanted to make dock cover for Switch 2, but not just the frontplate.
This piranha style full body dock fits nicely and loosely around the original dock, provides air for the dock fan and is easy to remove if required. The controllers can be detached without removing the switch from the dock cover.
No AMS required.
Dock lips and body are assembled with few pieces of filaments that holds them together well. After printing drill the filament holes open with 2mm drill. For my taste, 2 filaments on top of each lip was enough for fit + one filament on each end to connect the two lip parts. You can glue the lips together. To disassemble the dock later, recommend not to glue the lips to the body.
White dots have alphabets for easy matching, just cut the printing support off and match them with same letter (mirrored) on the body.
Suggest to sand the lip corners after printing to ensure nothing sharp remains for smooth docking / undocking experience.
