FDM Printing Recommendations

• Optimization: Designed to push the limits of FDM detail. Due to the complex, protruding geometry (specifically the towering fin funnels on the back and the extended beam rifle), this model requires careful orientation. Angling the model backward slightly (around 15-20 degrees) can help hide layer lines on the face, chest plate, and front armor while providing a better angle for the tall funnel rack.
• Layer Height: Recommended 0.08mm (Extra Fine) to 0.12mm (Fine). Pushing your printer to a 0.08mm layer height is critical to ensure the intricate V-fin, faceplate, and individual funnel panel lines resolve cleanly without looking stepped or blocky.
• Supports: Organic/Tree supports are mandatory for this print. Generate slim tree supports specifically targeting the lowest points of the beam rifle, the overhanging shield, the elbows, and the delicate rear connections of the fin funnels. Ensure the Z-distance for supports is dialed in (usually 0.15mm - 0.2mm) for easy removal without snapping the thin components.
