Description

This bracket adapter is designed to mount accessories securely using standard M6 socket head screws and nyloc nuts to the Hobie R-Rail System. The design focuses on strength and clean fitment while keeping printing simple and reliable. The top interface allows attachment of accessories, while the base clamps securely to the H-Rail. Tested for solid grip and easy assembly using M6 x 20mm socket head screws.

Hardware Required

  • (5x) M6 x 20mm socket head screws
  • (5x) M6 nyloc nuts 

Print Settings (recommended)

  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Walls: 5 (important for strength)
  • Infill: 40%
  • Material: ABS or ASA (PETG if needed, PLA not recommended for heat/outdoor use)
  • Supports: Minimal supports required at the center, can be removed if necessary but internal quality might be affected.

Assembly

  • Insert nuts into the slots (including the center one, this cannot be added after the bracket is fully bolted in place)
  • Align both halves around the H-Rail
  • Tighten evenly using M6 screws
  • Do not overtighten — snug fit is enough

Notes

  • Recommended stainless steel hardware, corrosion-resistant for marine environments.
