Update 1: ESPectrum +2A Case - Version 3
The ESPectrum +2A case is dedicated to these two magnificent projects: the ESPectrum emulator running on a Lilygo FabGL VGA32 and the POWADCR digital player programmed by Antonio Tamairón
Motivated by the latest updates to the POWADCR project, among which I highlight the possibility of adding an external keypad, I have decided to update to version 2 of my ESPectrum +2A Case It now features a fully functional DIY keypad
This project is identical to the previous one I have only modified the "Top Right" part, which now has the option to house a DIY keypad made with a perforated circuit board and simple push buttons It also has several spaces to accommodate the I2C MCP23017 Expansion Module and the 3.5” TFT HMI LCD All of this is secured with M2 inserts and corresponding screws
Due to the size of the case, I have divided the design into several parts These must be joined together (top and bottom parts), ensuring first that they fit and are correctly aligned with each other, removing any support remnants used in their printing These parts can be glued with cyanoacrylate and fastened with small M2 screws with their corresponding nuts The top and bottom parts are secured with M3x15 metric screws
This case uses a keyboard* that is used with 7” tablets For its use, a USB to PS/2 keyboard/mouse interface converter is required, using a Raspberry Pi Pico (project ps2x2pico) The keyboard rests on a tray which will then be screwed to the top of the case… for its fixation, although not strictly necessary, I have used small inserts for M2 screws
