Perfect for all hobby photographers:

A lens holder for all lenses with a Sony E-Mount bayonet. Load tested up to 21.6kg! (See pictures)

This holder is specifically for Sony E-Mount lenses; an original Sony E-Mount cap is absolutely required (Samyang, Sigma, Tamron, and similar lenses can also be hung, but it is important that an original Sony E-Mount cap is needed for this!)

The holder was designed to be attached to an Ikea Skadis board with M3 T-nuts. It can also be directly mounted to a wall or wooden panel with rawl plugs and screws.

I tested the holder printed from PLA with a continuous load of 21.6kg (24-hour test at 21 degrees room temperature). The angle did not warp at all, which is why I can confidently approve the holder for up to 10kg. (Sony E-Mount lenses, with a maximum weight of 4kg, are significantly below the tested weight). PETG is recommended for printing due to better temperature resistance, but as the test also proves, a PLA holder is not an issue.

The following items are needed for assembly:

6x M3x8mm screw (side parts)

2x M3x12mm screw (from bottom rear into the front plate)

4x M3x16mm (if you want to attach it to an Ikea Skadis with the included T-nuts)

All screws are screwed directly into the material, no heat-set inserts needed.

The T-nuts should be screwed on with a few mm distance from the holder, so that they can be perfectly locked and tightened behind the Ikea Skadis.

Also included is a small labeling plate to note the lens designation, such as "24-70", with text in the slicer; this is glued in.

Assembly:

  1. Print all parts (Standard profile 0.2mm with 15% infill) (T-NUTS IN 100% INFILL!!)
  2. Screw the back plate with the lens mount using 2 M3x12mm screws.
  3. Screw the side plates at 3 points each with M3x8mm screws.
  4. Clip in the flap for lens cap security.
  5. For mounting on the Skadis Board, push 4 M3x16 screws through the back plate and attach the T-nuts.
  6. Mount on Skadis wall and check for proper hold.
  7. Insert the lens cap with the tab facing forward and press firmly.
  8. Close and snap in the lens cap security.
  9. Insert the lens from below as into a normal bayonet and lock it.
  10. Be happy with your organized lenses.

Since this holder was a lot of work, I would appreciate a comment and a like. Boosts are also very welcome of course.

If you have any problems, feel free to leave a comment.
