Description

Elevate your AceXR experience with this professionally engineered Glock 17 Generation 5 shell, featuring a fully overhauled and stress-tested Fire Control Unit (FCU).

While the original concept was a great starting point, this version has been rebuilt from the ground up for competitive shooters who demand precision, durability, and a realistic feel.

Key Improvements:

  • True-to-Life Dimensions: Unlike low-quality placeholder models, this Glock 17 Gen 5 frame is modeled with exact 1:1 scale dimensions for a perfect grip and holster compatibility.
  • Hardened Reliability: This setup has been torture-tested on AceXR with over 17,000 rounds fired without a single mechanical failure.
  • Refined FCU Engineering: The internal tolerances of the Fire Control Unit have been meticulously adjusted. No more "mushy" triggers or sticking parts.
  • Standardized Hardware: Forget hunting for obscure parts. This build uses standard pins and springs for easy assembly and maintenance.

Required Hardware (BOM):

To assemble this unit, you will need the following standard components:

  • Steel Pins:  3x Pins (3mmX20mm) and 2x Pins (3mmX25mm)
  • Compression Springs:  2x Springs (0.4mmx5mmx15mm)
  • Elastic:  1x Heavy-duty rubber band (1.4mmx16mm)

Print Settings & Assembly:

  • Wall Count: 4 minimum (for structural integrity).
  • Infill: 40% (Gyroid recommended).
  • Material: PLA+ or PETG for the best impact resistance during high-cadence training.

This project is a Remix.

The mechanical logic of the FCU is based on the original concept by Camille COSSA. I have modified the tolerances, standardized the hardware, and integrated it into my custom-built Gen 5 frame to create a production-ready training tool.
