Perched upon a twisting branch that has never known decay 🌿🪵, the chameleon remains utterly still. Not resting… not sleeping… but waiting ⏳👁️
Its skin is no ordinary camouflage. Each scale hums faintly with living magic ✨🔮, shifting not just color, but presence itself. To some, it appears as bark 🌳… to others, a flicker of shadow 🌑… and to those who are truly lost, it appears as nothing at all.
Long ago, the forest spirits bound a fragment of their will into this creature 🌿🕊️, tasking it with guarding the unseen paths between worlds 🌌🚪. These hidden trails twist between realms, where a single wrong step could lead a wanderer into places from which there is no return.
The Stalking Chameleon does not hunt flesh… it hunts imbalance ⚖️✨
