DECA - DOCOL Register Adapter
Print Profile(1)

Description
Adapter and extender for register trim, converting Docol stem Ø9.2 mm with 20 splines to DECA standard Ø13 mm with 18 splines
This model was created to solve the incompatibility between the register's shaft/stem and the trim, and also functions as an extender, helping in situations where the original stem is too recessed in the wall
The part was modeled in FreeCAD, a parametric CAD software, and I am also providing the .FCStd file, so that each person can easily change length, number of splines, diameters, and other measurements according to their application's needs
I printed this part in PLA, with 100% infill, to improve strength. Still, I strongly recommend printing in PETG, as it offers better mechanical resistance and greater durability for this type of use, since the part operates under torque
In my case, the application is for a gate valve register, which will be used infrequently, only for maintenance situations. For this use case, the part worked and served very well
This result was obtained after some tests and dimensional adjustment attempts, until a satisfactory fit was achieved. Therefore, it is important to remember that small variations may exist between manufacturers, lines, and even between parts of the same application
Model Specifications:
- Female input: Docol Ø9.2 mm – 20 splines
- Male output: DECA Ø13 mm – 18 splines
- Function: adapter + extender
Important:
Before printing, check the measurements of your register and trim. Since the parametric .FCStd file is included, any adjustments to length, number of splines, and diameters can be easily made to adapt the model to your needs
