Sanding Disc Holder for an Ikea Skadis pegboard

This holder accommodates paper sanding discs in 125mm format (115mm also works).

There are 8 slots for sanding discs with different grits. The slots are approximately 20mm wide, so typically at least 10 discs can be inserted.

Each slot is equipped with an ejection lever, which tilts the discs in the slot slightly forward so they can be removed more easily.

The rotational mechanism of the levers is implemented using a piece of filament, which is pushed through the holder after inserting the levers, then slightly heated and flattened on both ends to prevent the filament from sliding out on its own. Alternatively, one could probably just cut the filament and skip this step.

The levers are provided with individual labels indicating the respective grit. Labels for common grits are provided. If possible, I will add a customizable label so that different information can be printed on the label. The labels can be printed in two colors or single color with a multi-material system (e.g. AMS). With a single color, the text is printed slightly recessed into the label. 

If you also use my other holders, you should perhaps place this holder at the very bottom of the pegboard, as it protrudes further forward and might otherwise obstruct access to the other holders.

If you need different labels or other slot sizes, feel free to leave a comment, and I can create an adapted profile if necessary.

I recommend inserting the sanding discs in alternating orientations into the slots, so that both felt or abrasive sides of adjacent slots always face each other. This somewhat prevents the discs from sticking together.

Since the contact surface of the first layer is not very large, I recommend enabling a brim. Only with very good adhesion build plates (textured, Supertack, Cryogrip, etc.) can you risk printing without a brim. I opted for the brim and accepted the slightly higher effort for removal.
