This dispenser cap is designed for clean and controlled feeding of fruit flies and other small feeder insects.
The integrated ventilation mesh allows airflow while keeping insects securely inside.

For best results:

Place your fruit flies 🐜 in the fridge for a few minutes before feeding
This slows them down and makes handling much easier

Then remove the lid and feed your animals with minimal escape

⚙️ Customizable Mesh (Key Feature)

The ventilation mesh is generated via slicer settings and fully customizable:

• Adjust mesh density (infill)
• Change mesh pattern/type

To preview the mesh:
👉 you need to slice/render the model
Only then the mesh becomes visible

🔧 Recommended Settings

For fruit flies I recommend:

• Infill density: ~45%
• Pattern: Grid / Rectilinear

This gives a good balance between:
airflow 🌬️
and preventing escape 🐜

💡 Notes

• The mesh is not modeled, it is created by slicer infill
• Different slicer settings will change the result
• You can fine-tune depending on insect size

• The thread may feel slightly tight at first (normal for fresh prints)
→ After a few turns it will become smooth
→ A tiny amount of lubricant can speed up this process
