Description
This back shell is based on a high-precision 3D scan of an original PS5 controller backplate and has been specially optimized for 3D printing. The goal of this model is to provide a perfectly fitting and functional alternative to the original shell — ideal for modding projects, repairs, or individual customization
The geometry was revised after the scan to improve typical 3D printing issues such as tolerances, wall thicknesses, and printability. All relevant mounting points, clips, and receptacles were taken into account, ensuring the shell is easily compatible with the original components
This model is perfect for:
- Custom Controller Builds
- Weight reduction (depending on print settings)
- Individual designs (e.g. painting or post-processing)
- Replacement of damaged original parts
Notes:
Depending on the printer and material, slight adjustments or post-processing may be necessary (e.g. sanding clips or screw points). For optimal results, a finely tuned print with high accuracy is recommended
