12.5 mm Test Ball for IP20 / IP2X Tests (IEC 60529)

This test ball has an exact diameter of 12.5 mm and is used to check the protection class IP20 or IP2X (protection against solid foreign objects).

Perfectly suited for workshops, control cabinet manufacturers, and developers who want to quickly and easily check housing openings according to the standard DIN EN 60529 / IEC 60529 without damaging expensive laboratory tools.

Printing Tips for Maximum Dimensional Accuracy:

• Orientation: Lay flat on the print bed (the handle runs parallel to the bed). This ensures that the handle becomes extremely stable due to the layer lines and does not break off!
• Walls: Set at least 4 to 5 wall lines (perimeters) so that the thin handle is printed solid.
• Infill: 100% recommended for the sphere.
• Support: Activate Tree Supports.
• Important: Since plastics shrink when cooling, be sure to measure the sphere with calipers after printing! If it is minimally too small, simply scale the model up to 101% in the slicer.
