Description

These are board straighteners for the 2021 Edition of the Iki board game, which came with a severely warped board as shown in the picture. They are scaled to fit a 2mm thick board. In order to make the PLA parts stiff enough to resist the warp in the board, I needed to design them to fit the entire length of each board side and with a fairly wide perpendicular cross section (like half a steel I-beam), and print it out with 50% infill and a gyroid infill pattern. Using these raise the board up about 5mm, which results in a slight sag in the center, so I designed a 5.3mm center support to be placed under the board, but you can use the score pad or anything else with that width as well.

You will need to print out four (4) of the 284 mm long “long straighteners”, four (4) of the 240 mm long “short straighteners”, and one of the center supports. The straighteners are rotated 45 degrees to enable them to all fit and be printed on the 256 mm x 256 mm square X1C plate.
