Fluval EVO 13.5 Marine SEA 3.0 Light Hood Mount

This is based on the Mount for Fluval Plant 3.0 on Spec 16, or Marine 3.0 on Evo 13, an original design by Brad Coe and offered under the CC BY 4.0 license, and described as an “[i]mproved light holder for adding an upgraded Fluval 3.0 series light to the Fluval Spec 16 or Evo 13 lids.”  Further - "This mount replaces the extending arms from both ends of the light and lets it sit securely in the opening.  There are two different parts, one has a notch for the cable.  The Evo 13 lid and Marine 3.0 should be the same size as the Spec 16 lid and plant 3.0.”  Additional details may be found on the original model via the link above.  This is an excellent design and allows my Fluval Marine SEA 3.0 Bluetooth Saltwater Aquarium LED Coral Light - 22 Watt fixture to fit in the stock Fluval EVO 13.5 gallon hood properly.

This remix is a slight modification to the original design, and increases the recessed dugout for the lighting fixture power cable.  This is the only modification of note.  The original design works to house the light upgrade, but my fixture cable is somewhat rigid this close to the light housing and pushes up on the stock hood piece over the sump section of the tank.  This remix increases the power cord dugout recessed space on one of the mounts, allowing the sump hood to sit flush with the display hood without bending the cord or pushing it beyond it’s current natural rigidity.
