Pin for Cover Cap Charging Socket DC-Port CCS2 VW
Print Profile(1)

Description
đ§ Retaining Pin / Pin for CCS2 Charging Port Cover Cap (VW ID / VAG)
This 3D-printable retaining pin serves as a replacement part for the original cover cap of the CCS2 charging port in electric vehicles from the Volkswagen Group.
Specifically, the model was developed as a replacement for the lost retaining pin of the VW charging socket cover cap 11A971393F. This cover cap protects the lower DC charging area (CCS2) from dirt and moisture and is installed as standard in several ID. models, among others.
𧩠Problem & Solution
In many vehicles, the handle of the cover cap is mounted on two small plastic pins. If one of these pins is lost, the handle will only be secured on one side and can come loose or break off.
This is exactly where this model comes in:
- Replacement of a lost or damaged retaining pin
- Restoration of the full functionality of the folding handle
- Avoidance of a complete replacement of the cover cap
đ Compatibility
The retaining pin is suitable for:
- VW ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.7
- Audi Q4 e-tron
- Cupra Born
- Skoda Enyaq
đ Generally compatible with all vehicles of the VW Group (VAG) that use this CCS2 cover cap, as it is an identical original part.
âïž Installation
The pin is simply inserted into the existing receptacle on the handle of the cover cap and acts as an axle or retainer.
A press fit is intended â slight rework may be necessary depending on the printer.
đĄ Note
This is an unofficial replacement part (DIY), developed based on an actual defect in the VW ID.7.
It represents a cost-effective alternative to replacing the entire cover cap.
