Chamber Air Draft Tester
Print Profile(1)

Description
This simple test fixture allows for the visualization of minor air currents that might be occurring in your build chamber, which can cause defects in prints such as warping and layer separation (especially with filaments like ABS/ASA). The fixture provides a 3mm hole 75mm above the build plate which can be used to tie a small section of thread (thinner thread will be more sensitive) that will move based on air flow allowing you to gauge the direction and magnitude.
The default print includes 4 fixtures in PLA so that one may be placed on each corner, no support are required for this print. I recommend printing in black and using a white or tan thread for high contrast. Once setup, you can test with various air settings (aux fan, chamber heater fan, etc.) and bed heights to see how minor air currents flow within the build chamber and identify if certain areas of your build plate may be more susceptible to warped prints.
IMPORTANT!!! Be careful not to crash your tool head into these fixtures while testing and be sure to remember to remove them when you are done :)
