Description

ESP32-S3 N16R8 Case with Passive Cooling & Cable Management

This is a functional, high-quality enclosure specifically designed for the ESP32-S3 N16R8 development board. The design focuses on clean aesthetics, durability, and practical cable routing.

Key Features:

  • Passive Cooling: Integrated circular vent directly above the MCU chip to prevent overheating during intensive tasks.
  • Cable Management: Dedicated top opening for jumper wires and a precise cutout for the Type-C power connection. (Direct 5Vin)
  • Professional Finish: Designed for countersunk screws to ensure a flush, sleek top surface.
  • Robust Assembly: Optimized for M3 heat-set inserts for a secure and reusable connection between the lid and the base.

Hardware Requirements (BOM):

  • Board: ESP32-S3 N16R8 (Standard DevKit layout).
  • Screws: 4x M3x6mm and 4x M3x16mm Countersunk screws.
  • Inserts: 8x M3x3x4.2 Heat-set inserts 
  • Adapter: 1x Type-C female adapter with jumpercable or use original usb ports 

Print Settings:

  • Material: PETG 
  • Layer Height: 0.16mm 
  • Wall Loops: 3-4 (Highly recommended for the screw holes and inserts).
  • Infill: 10-15% 
  • Supports: Supports required! .3mf file already includes, ready to print.

Assembly Instructions:

  1. Press the M3 heat-set inserts into the four corner holes of the bottom case using a soldering iron.
  2. Place your ESP32-S3 board into the base. It should be a snug fit.
  3. Route your jumper cables through the dedicated slot in the middle frame/lid.
  4. Secure the top lid using the M3 countersunk screws.
