Description
I had already tried some adapters from the community, but unfortunately, none truly held as I desired and always slipped off the spool. Therefore, I designed an adapter myself that has a slightly thicker wall and fits snugly around the rim.
Additionally, I added ribs that grip into the edge of the cardboard spool to prevent the ring from slipping in the AMS. The adapters fit very tightly and must be pressed onto the cardboard spool with force.
- Diameter: 196mm - 199mm
- Cardboard thickness: 2.8mm - 3.0mm
If you plan to use and dry the spools in an AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or a drying box, I recommend a temperature-resistant material such as ABS, ASA, PETG, PA
For testing, I have only printed them with PLA-CF so far.
