Description
Custom Egyptian style cartouches, made in OpenSCAD.
Not just a static model. It’s a generator with a bunch of built-in options and layout logic so names fit better, look better, and print better. Instead of manually forcing everything into place, it handles a lot of the spacing, scaling, and stacking for you.
Type something in, tweak the settings, export, print.
Features:
- Custom text input
- Portrait and landscape versions
- Adjustable length
- Optional border and background
- Layout logic for cleaner symbol placement
- Optional decay/weathering effect
- Presets and special-case mappings
- Built to be printable
Notes:
Uses Noto Sans Egyptian Hieroglyphs and a simplified phonetic conversion system. This is for making cool cartouches, not for writing a museum plaque.
Support:
Boost Me (for free)
If you like the model, a Boost is appreciated.
If you want to support me directly, I’ve also got a Ko-fi.
As of the initial post, all the sample versions are made with no decay. If you want something custom and feel like it's not coming out right, please let me know so I can work on the back-end and get you what you want!
