Description

This is a custom mount for the Pololu 4756 metal gearmotor (37D, 12V, encoder version).

I designed this part for my own mechanical project where I needed a solid and compact way to mount the motor to a flat plate/base. The mount holds the motor securely and provides a clean interface for fastening.

Features

  • Compact and rigid structure
  • Suitable for robotics, engineering and custom motion projects
  • Easy to mount to a flat surface
  • Functional design focused on real use, not decoration

Compatibility

  • Designed for Pololu item #4756
  • 37D metal gearmotor body
  • Encoder version shown in photos

Mounting hardware

  • Designed for M3 screws
  • The mount is attached using M3 fasteners
  • Please adjust screw length depending on your assembly thickness

Suggested print settings

  • Material: PLA / PETG / ABS (I used PETG)
  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Walls: 4
  • Infill: 25–40%
  • Supports: On (only if needed depending on orientation)
  • Print orientation: flange on the build plate

Measured dimensions shown in the photos

  • Approx. outer diameter: 34.24 mm
  • Approx. shaft-related measured width: 23.85 mm
  • Approx. total visible height in assembled setup: shown in photos for reference

Included files

  • Bottom_pololu_mount
  • Middle_pololu_mount
  • Middle_pololu_mount_old (older version)
  • Middle_pololu_mount_old is an earlier version kept for reference. Recommended file: Middle_pololu_mount.

Notes

  • Designed for Pololu 4756.
  • Test fit before final assembly.
  • This model was designed around my own hardware and use case, so please compare your motor dimensions before printing.
  • This mount is designed to be installed with M3 screws.
  • Make sure to choose the correct screw length for your own build.
  • Real photos of the printed part and mounted motor are included.
  • Hardware shown in the pictures is for demonstration and is not included.

If you print it, I’d appreciate a like, download, rating, or a photo of your build.
