Hello, I designed this junction box to be as universal and adaptable as possible for a wide range of cameras and brands currently available on the market. The different versions are made so that users can choose the most suitable option for the camera they need to install.

The following diameters are available:

  • 95 mm
  • 110 mm
  • 120 mm
  • 130 mm
  • 170 mm

I organized the individual STL files into folders for easier navigation.

 

Model advantages:
The first advantage is that both the model and the gasket include retaining features that help keep the gasket in place and reduce the chance of it falling out during installation.

The second advantage is that there are two types of top cover.
The first version is designed to use a gasket, which must be cut so that the cable can be passed through it.
The second version is fully solid, without a pre-made hole, so the user can drill the opening exactly according to their own needs.

The base includes a designated area for drilling a hole for a cable gland. I intentionally did not include the hole directly in the model, because there are many different types of cable glands and each user may need a different size depending on the cable and the required diameter.

 

Printing:
For printing, I recommend using at least ASA due to its better heat resistance and outdoor weather resistance.

The area intended for the cable gland should be printed with 100% infill.
If printing the top cover version with a gasket, I recommend printing the gasket part with 100% infill and using supports for both the cover and the gasket.

 

Assembly:
First, drill the hole for the cable gland and install the cable gland itself.

Then mount the box in the desired location. Depending on the selected top cover version, you will either need to insert and cut the gasket so the cable can pass through it, or drill an opening into the solid cover.

After routing the cables into the box and connecting the camera, screw the cover onto the base. Finally, attach the camera to the cover using screws.
