Description
đ©đȘ German: MONKY5 â Game Instructions
Goal of the Game Be the first player to form an unbroken row of five tiles of their color â horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
Game Preparation & Start
- Each player chooses a color and takes the corresponding tiles.
- The Neutral Starting Tile: Place the clip with the "5" in the center of the playing area. This tile is neutral, belongs to no one, and does not count as part of a 5-in-a-row for any player.
- Who starts? Find the youngest player. Counting clockwise from them, the 5th player in the count begins (if there are fewer than 5 players, simply count around the circle until you reach 5).
Gameplay
- The starting player places their first tile against one of the flat edges of the neutral 5-clip.
- After that, all players take turns placing one tile clockwise.
- Placement Rule: A tile must always be placed with a flat edge against an already placed tile. Placing only at a corner is not allowed.
Special Rules
- Blocking: You may and should place tiles in such a way that you interrupt your opponents' rows.
- Moving Tiles: If you have used all your tiles, you may pick up one of your already placed tiles on your turn and place it in a new position. However, you must not leave any other tile isolated (every tile must remain connected to the main group).
Winner The first player to complete a 5-in-a-row of their color shouts "MONKY5!" and wins the game.

Goal of the Game Be the first player to get five of your colored tiles in a row â horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
Setup & Starting the Game
- Each player chooses a color and takes their set of tiles.
- The Neutral Center Tile: Place the clip with the "5" on it in the center of the play area. This tile is neutral; it doesn't belong to anyone and cannot be used as part of anyone's 5-in-a-row.
- Who starts? Find the youngest player. Starting with them, count players clockwise. The 5th person counted starts the game (if there are fewer than 5 players, keep counting around the circle until you reach five).
How to Play
- The first player places their tile against any flat edge of the neutral "5" clip.
- Players take turns clockwise, placing one tile at a time.
- Placement Rule: Tiles must be placed against the flat edge of an existing tile. You cannot connect tiles only by their corners.
Special Rules
- Blocking: Strategically place your tiles to stop your opponents from completing their rows.
- Moving Tiles: If you run out of tiles to play, you can pick up one of your tiles already on the board and move it to a new position. However, you must not leave any other tile isolated (every tile must remain connected to the main group).
