680mm Glider - Glue-Free, Clicks Together in 2 min
Print Profile(5)

Description
After the incredible response to the Stratus 500 (+2000 prints in 3 weeks), I designed a larger, more stable glider built for open skies.
Meet the Cumulus 680 — optimized for slow, floaty flight and better performance in light wind.
Complete Lineup
Experimental Series
- Canard Glider — Experimental Series #1
- (NEW) Gossamer Albatross Glider — Experimental Series #2
Sky Series
- Cumulus 680 — slow, smooth, relaxed glides
- Cumulus 400 Speed Wing — faster flights
- Stratus 500 — balanced and versatile
- Stratus 500 A1 mini version - Original size
If you enjoy building or flying it, a Boost 🚀 really helps and lets me keep improving these designs!
Highlights
- 680 mm wingspan — extended glide performance
- Adjustable center of gravity
- Cambered wing profile — optimized for slow flight
- Large wing area → low wing loading for excellent lift
- 2-stage dihedral wing:
- Inner: 2°
- Outer: 10°
→ Strong self-stabilizing effect and great directional hold
- Snap-fit assembly — no glue required
Compatible with 180×180 mm beds (yes, A1 Mini owners!)

Update log:
- V1.1 Reinforced fuselage joint for added durability, Snap-fit horizontal stabilizer for easier assembly
Note:
Feel free to share a photo of your color choice — I’d love to see it in action!
Assembly Guide:
1) Fuselage

2) Stabilizers

Note: A few makers report a looseness in the horizontal stabilizer. Might need a droplet of glue. Issue will be fixed in next update.
3) Wings

Note: The curved side of the wing shapes shall be in contact with the wing. Due to printing tolerances, some force may be required to achieve full contact. Press against a hard surface or use pliers if necessary.

4) Wings on fuselage

5) Nose cone

Adjustments of center of gravity (CG):
Planes may not fly exactly the same because differences in filament, infill, and conditions can affect their weight and balance. For this reason, the CG can be adjusted to optimize flight performance.
