Thank you from the heart for your support
This is an ambitious project, but above all, full of meaning: the idea is to create a large library of low-poly animals, designed to be 3D printed and donated to children, especially those going through difficult times
Imagine a world where even a small object can bring a smile. A simple but special animal that a child can keep, collect, or give as a gift. Each model is not just a 3D print: it's a gesture, a thought, a way to make someone feel less alone
The project involves collectively building a real "catalog" of low-poly animals: from the most common species to the most particular and unique ones. All models will be designed to be easy to print, accessible to everyone, and with a consistent style, thus creating a harmonious and recognizable collection
It's a project open to everyone. Anyone can contribute by uploading their favorite animal or by creating those that are still missing. The more people participate, the more this library will grow and become something truly special
It's not just a collection of models: it's a collaboration that combines creativity, technology, and, above all, heart. Every animal added represents a small contribution to something greater
Together we can create a collection that is not only beautiful to look at but also capable of bringing a little happiness where it's truly needed
how to add your favorite animals to OUR library and ensure they have the exact same measurements and shapes:
-1 download from any website or directly create a 3D image of the animal in question
-2 using the MakerLab image-to-3D model tool, upload the generated image and, using one of the available AI models, convert the image to 3D ensuring it is of satisfactory quality, keep it monochromatic, and download it in 3mf format
-3 open it in Bambu Studio, right-click on the object, simplify it, and set a reduction ratio to have a face count between 500 and 900
consider which profile to set for printing it 0.8 0.12 0.2 depending on the desired quality (all uploaded models are at 0.1) the only measurement to modify is the model's height, each model is 50 mm tall, after setting everything, start printing
-4 upload it directly here as a new print profile, specifying the type of animal and color, uploading a cover image of the printed model
NB an image that reflects the print and the animal is always appreciated for keeping everything very neat and precise
Thank you for following all the steps, even if they may seem a bit lengthy. This process is specifically designed to keep everything tidy, precise, and easy to manage over time, thus offering everyone a quality and well-organized project. Your contribution makes it possible to grow this library correctly and consistently.
