SoilComp – Compact Composter directly in the Bed

This compact composter is buried directly in the soil and allows for easy and sustainable recycling of kitchen waste right where the nutrients are needed – in the soil of your plants

Through the openings in the bottom and sides, microorganisms, worms, and moisture easily enter the interior, efficiently decomposing organic waste. The resulting nutrients are released directly into the surrounding soil, sustainably improving soil quality

The composter is buried so that only a few centimeters remain visible above the ground. This allows it to blend inconspicuously into the garden or raised bed

The lid protects against unwanted animals and ensures a clean appearance

Ideal for environmentally conscious gardeners and anyone who wants to reuse organic waste meaningfully

Typical Depths of Earthworms

Earthworms live at various depths, depending on the species, moisture, and season

For a buried composter, it is important: most worms stay relatively close to the surface 🪱🌱

DepthWhat happens there
0–10 cmmany worms, abundant food
10–30 cmMain area for many species
30–60 cmlarger species (e.g. nightcrawlers)
