Manger Christmas Ornament

***UPDATED PROFILE IS AVAILABLE***

I uploaded an updated profile today that prints a bit faster, and also has been tweaked just a bit to hopefully alleviate the smaller parts coming off on some of your prints. Use the updated 2 wall profile and let me know in the comments how it worked out!

Nice file, only problem, when slicing, there are a few mini--swirls not connected, same with the 3 little balls at the top. That's why these pieces will fall off after print. Maybe these errors can be rectified by the original author? Apart from that, I love this design, as I know it from my metal die for papercrafting

turned out pretty nice, I had some stringing and a couple of dots fell off in my hand but I can't tell where they came from.

The dots may have come from the very top of the ornament. There's 3 dots. If you still have trouble, try using Arachne wall generator, or play with toggling on/off thin wall detection. Last resort, ironing, or using a 0.2 nozzle.

On second thought, After looking at your photo more closely, I can't tell where it would have come from. Everything looks right there...

Replying to @GrumpyOlVetPrin :
the pieces that fell off were from the curls above the heads, the program prints them separate from the rest of the piece so they aren't attached when you pull them off

I was not very successful with PLA Silk, it was also very sticked to the bed. Some ornaments were not connected so felled off.

I had the same problem with regular bambu pla. It is a beautiful model but it does have issues.

I had some issues similar on some other similar items . have you dried your filament in a dryer? it made a huge difference. moisture even slightly high makes lots of issues bed adhesion and strings everywhere. I am still learning. but how i learn is through other peoples experiences. so just wanted to drop a note. good luck. I hope u can get it dialed in well. we have the bambu p1s and its very good some are not as detailed but we can Change things to dial it in to work with our type of machines. we are a 3d family and we try to help others- such a great online comunity
