Description

I decided to make the CT scan I got of my dogs pelvis into a mesh for 3D printing.
I scaled it down with a 0.4 factor to be able to print it in my printer.
I have no idea why anybody would enjoy this beside me but I am sharing it anyway.
My vet finds his fracture interesting so someone else might.

Good evening, I loved it, can you tell me how you did it? I have a CT scan and would like to print it for my patients!

I received a folder filled with images from the vet when I requested my dog’s CT scan. I then used the program Slicer (https://www.slicer.org/) to convert the images into a mesh. (it is a free program) I used ChatGPT to help me get an idea of the settings needed to create a good mesh in Slicer. After that, I used Rhino to refine the mesh and prepare it for 3D printing.(I also believe you can use Blender to prepare the mesh from Slicer for 3D printing.)I hope this helps!

Amazing, thanks for posting this!!! Came out great on my A1! My girlfriend loves this and will have It on display in her physiotherapy (for dogs) practice! Do you have other files likes this?

That makes me sooo happy to hear !! I was a little bit unsure if I should share it since some of my non 3D prints friends said it was a bit weird to make/share. However I enjoyed the challenge of taking the CT scan and converting it. Unfortunately I dont have any other files. This is the only scan I got. It is an injury my own dog have and I dont have acess to any other CT scans.
