Enlarger Filter Holder – Durst M605 (FOMA 9×9 cm)

A printed filter holder designed specifically for the Durst M605 Color, mounting directly onto the existing rod used for the standard red and matte filter holders.

The part clips onto the rod and locks automatically via a ball-lock mechanism — a spring-loaded 4 mm steel ball and sub 4mm spring seat into a slot in the rod for a lovely snap fit into the "working position".

Why i made this: The M605 Colorhead can handle contrast filtering on its own, but this holder makes it easy to test with physical contrast filters — in this case the FOMA 9×9 cm polycontrast filter set that i had around. Was wondering if its better and more accurate.

Hardware needed:

• 8 mm metal rod (~20 cm), slotted on one side
• 10×4 mm spring
• 4 mm steel ball

Note: Check whether your enlarger has the mounting hole for the rod — it sits next to the lens mount and is secured by a setscrew. Not all M605 variants may have this.

The holder includes little side extrusions on both edges to keep the filter more flat and prevent it from warping during use.
