Boost Me (for free)

If you find this model helpful, please consider giving me a Boost! I’m just a hobbyist who loves tinkering in my free time and sharing with the community. I don't do this as my full-time job or anything like that. Boosts could help cover the cost of filament and testing materials, allowing me to keep experimenting and bringing new features to life.

With this deck box, you can give a little more protection to your high-value cards. I designed this scaled-up remix specifically to accommodate standard top loaders from brands like Ultra Pro or VaultX. It maintains the no-glue, print-in-place construction of the original, keeping the features that worked well, like the swappable lids and preview windows, while adding the clearance needed for rigid top loader sleeves.

While designing the standard version, I realized I wanted an easier way to grab the top loaders without pinching them. This led to the creation of an optional version that I am calling the popup deck box. It features a print-in-place sliding mechanism at the base that lets you lift your cards slightly above the box edge. This is a completely unnecessary feature that no one asked for, but I love playing around with it. Your cards remain fully protected and enclosed when the pop-up slider is closed.

What is Included:

  • Enlarged Interior: Scaled to comfortably hold cards in top loaders without bending or damaging the protective sleeves.
  • Optional Popup Base: A fun, over-engineered version that lifts your cards for a no-pinch grip. It is a print-in-place design that requires no extra assembly or hardware.
  • Slotted vs. Smooth Walls: Choose versions with slots for dividers to keep your deck steady or smooth walls for a clean interior. Note: The Popup version requires the slotted divider walls to keep the cards aligned properly with the mechanism.
  • Modular Lids and Styles: The sliding lid is unchanged from the previous version, allowing you to easily add, remove, and mix-and-match colors. Available in solid versions or single preview windows for maximum show-off-ability.

Other ways to organize your cards:

This is my remix of the fantastic sliding deck box by @3DPrintingDude and the updated design I made for regular sleeved cards.

Super cool and dopamine friendly with the moving side door. On initial print the slider may be a bit laggy/sticky due to the loose filament fibres but after a good cleaning up and some use it works like a charm!

The box seems like a clever and incredible design to me, but I think it's missing a couple of things to be a perfect 10. If you'll allow me a couple of suggestions, I would make one that holds 60 cards for the One Piece TCG, 50 deck cards and 10 DON cards, and I would make it so that the window section could hold a single top loader with the leader. I would also make a version for two decks, that is, 120 cards. I think many people who travel as a couple like to have a box where they have both decks together, especially for games like One Piece or SWU, which are 1v1. I even created a Commander Duel box so I could play with my partner, it holds 200 cards for two Commander decks of 100 cards each... Now One Piece is really popular, I think if you make those 60-card boxes with one top loader and 120-card boxes with two windows for two top loaders, it would be great. Many people would print it.

Other Issues:Slider is stuck, whatever its a pull or push. I think the angle is too high as it is more than 45 degree, plus the FDM tiny layer lines to making it worse. I would make the slider start lower, around 30 degree than gradually higher to make slider smoother.

the box seems to me an intelligent and incredible design, but I think it lacks a couple of things to be a 10 if you allow me a couple of tips, I would make one that holds 60 cards for the one piece tcg, 50 deck cards and 10 don cards and I would make the window part be able to fit a single top loader with the leader, and I would also make a version for two decks, that is, for 120 cards, I think many people who travel as a couple like to go with a box in which they have the two decks together, especially in games like one piece or swu which are 1vs 1, I even created a box for commander duel and to be able to play with my partner in which 200 cards fit for two commander decks which are 100 cards each.... now one piece is hitting very hard I think if you make those 60 card boxes with 1 top loader and 120 card boxes with two windows for two top loaders many people would print them
