Description

Presenting the Root Board Game System - Remix!

The original Root Board Game System by @extroodle was exceptional work, and was 95% the solution I wanted. The RBGS-R (pronounced “er-big-sir” by probably nobody) is a remix of almost every module, with tweaks and improvements that cover that last 5%.

Twilight Council

No faction tray was available for the Twilight Council in the original Root Board Game System (RBGS), so this is my creation based on the previous faction RBGS modules. It is compatible with any other RBGS modules and shares all the features from the regular faction trays along with my RBGS-R improvements.

Tray Changes

Note: Since this is an original faction tray, there was technically no “change” from the RBGS tray, but the listed change is more of a general difference between the RBGS-R trays and the RBGS trays.

Added a slot for the Vagabond Relationship Markers

By storing the Vagabond Relationship Markers with the related factions themselves, 1) the Vagabond insert no longer needs to be reprinted every time there are new factions released, 2) if you don’t have all factions, you don’t have empty slots in the Vagabond tray, and 3) the Vagabond has fewer tokens to juggle. And setup is still just as easy: every other faction that’s playing just hands the Vagabond(s) their Relationship Marker(s).

Base Changes

Note: Again, since this is an original faction module, there was no “change” from the RBGS base, but I’ve still listed the general difference between the RBGS-R bases and the RBGS bases.

Added a wall to the card well

Cards can no longer slide out accidentally while the insert is being handled. The card well still fits card sleeves up to 67mm wide. Personally, I have only the unsleeved summary card under there (and there’s unlikely to be room for more).
