Description

I couldn't find any carrying case that i like, so I made my own with a Stanley Fatmax 3.5L organizer. I got inspired by Dr Bob's excellent solution, but i wanted more versatility.

I designed this rack system like the ones for bigger 40K armies, but on a smaller scale to carry or store 3 to 4 Kill Teams, depending on the amount of operatives. I managed to put up to 14 ops on 28mm bases. You can fit ops up to 60mm tall on each tray. Printed in PETG and PLA, both work perfectly fine.

  • It uses 3x2 magnets to hold the trays to the rack and to hold the metal sheet to the trays. (7 by trays, 3 by rack side). 27 magnets are needed in total. The magnet holes are on the loose side to avoid cracking, feel free to use a bit of glue to hold the magnets in place.

  • The fatmax is made of polypropylene so its impossible to glue the racks to the box, hence why the racks need to be bolted to it. Simply drill four 4mm holes through the screw holes and use M4 countersunk screws to bolt the racks.

  • I used 195x75x1mm thick galvanized steel for the trays. There is also plain version to glue some magnetic sheets onto if you don't have access to steel.

I added a bin for the bottom space in the files, this is still a WIP and i'll keep updating the files as i go. Feel free to give me any suggestion on what i can add.
