Dornier Do-335 Pfeil
Print Profile(1)

Description
The Dornier Do 335 Pfeil (‘arrow’ in German), also nicknamed Ameisenbär (‘anteater’), was a fighter aircraft from World War II built by the German company Dornier.
The in-flight performance of the Do 335 was far superior to that of any other similar design of its era due to its push-pull propulsion configuration. This is why the Luftwaffe was desperate for the Pfeil to enter service, but delays in engine delivery meant that only a handful of aircraft were delivered before the German surrender.
