Once you close it, how do you open it without breaking it? Is there a trick to it?

I apply a slight squeezing pressure to get a better grip on the side that has an edge to grab hold to and then just open, which normally does the trick for me. I notice using PLA silk makes it more fragile. but the ball should be strong enough to bounce without breaking. How did yours break? at which location? maybe I can figure out the reason why.

we had a couple loose the lip and one shattered when trying to pry it apart.

Print with default settings, the circle effect is very good, gradient filament, the performance is also very good, the designer's own supports, easy to remove if you know the trick

Awesome - these worked great for me. Thinking about taking a stab at a threaded capsule remix, not sure how reliable that would be tho.

I would save your time as the first few version of the capsules were actually threaded base, but for it to work efficiently it needs a much thicker wall etc. so this thinnest version is what won the evolution in the end. But a new kind is in the roadmap for a print in place joint, push to release mechanism. For me the focus needs to be maximum internal volume to house the most goods. so the balance seem to be shifting on each iterations.

My kids could not open the standard capsules without adult assistance, so a push to release or threaded version would be much appreciated.

Why is there a pillar inside the ball when I print it? It's even in the slicer

This is a bracket, its function is to ensure that the projectile can be fully printed

hi Michael, this is a custom support, which I designed. So the shape is quite special

Thank you for your reply, I thought the supports were built-in, thank you for the author's effort, although it was a bit difficult to remove, it really ensured that the circle could be printed completely

Yes, I got the same result with Bambu's Matte PLA

Hi everyone, first of all, many thanks to Pipin World. I think the dispenser is great. I have the problem that it doesn't properly traverse the curves for the capsules without a logo, as you can see in the picture. What am I doing wrong? I have already reduced the print speed for the inner walls, but without success

I've been testing with some 2" balls. The machine wants to vend multiple of them at a time. Not quite sure how to fix that yet.
