Stable and adjustable license plate holder for cars.
The design features elongated mounting slots, allowing flexible positioning and secure installation on different vehicles.

I originally came across a similar holder on a car I purchased, but unfortunately there was only one installed and the overall quality was quite poor.

Using that as inspiration, I designed my own version and improved all the weaknesses and flaws of the original design to make it more stable, durable, and easier to mount.

The holder consists of multiple parts and is optimized for 3D printing, making assembly simple and reliable.

Features:

  • Adjustable design (elongated slots for flexible mounting)
  • Strong and durable construction
  • Multi-part system
  • Clean and functional look
  • Optimized for 3D printing

Required Hardware

To assemble the holder, you will need:

  • M4x30 screws  https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005008585550992.html?spm=a2g0o.order_detail.order_detail_item.3.4544f19cJtF9gv&gatewayAdapt=glo2deu

  • M4 square nuts  https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005008619340148.html?spm=a2g0o.order_detail.order_detail_item.3.2de6f19cs9HIiZ&gatewayAdapt=glo2deu

The square nuts were sourced from AliExpress (links will be provided).

All dimensions in the model are specifically designed to match the hardware used, ensuring a precise fit and easy assembly.

Print Settings

Recommended:

  • Layer height: 0.2 mm
  • Infill: 30–40% (recommended for strength)
  • Material: PETG, ASA or ABS (recommended for outdoor use)
  • Supports: not required
  • Walls/Perimeters: 4

💡 Note:
I printed my own set using eSun PLA+ (test) and they have been mounted on my car for some time now – no issues so far.
However, for long-term outdoor use, PETG or ASA is recommended.
