Description
AERIS or also called Phantom Puff - a smoke-free cigarette/vape
IMPORTANT NOTICE
This print does NOT use flavored cores, essential oils, or nicotine liquids. It is only for inhaling air through it.

Jokes aside - Let's start by saying that I don't smoke, but many around me smoke/vape.
Talking to them, I discovered that nicotine isn't a problem for many to quit, but the hardest part is breaking the ritual of holding something in hand (fidgeting with it) and inhaling (like breathing - which many studies show relaxes, similar to those for relieving/reducing anxiety)
Online I came across advertisements for FUM and LIO (LIO extremely simple and beautiful in design, also being made of wood), but the idea of recommending a 30/40/100 euro product to friends or relatives doesn't seem like a great idea, especially without even trying it, plus I don't know how good the flavors are.
So after seeing fidget toys, cigarettes, and other materials of this kind to educate myself on the matter, I started designing AERIS. After tuning, printing, and testing, something was missing. The smooth, texture-less product didn't feel good and didn't seem like a premium product.
The inspiration, I was out and about and saw a Campari bottle in a bar; the texture was perfect, exactly what I was looking for in that product to make it appealing to hold.
I printed it again and there it was, the finished product - It's basically a hollow tube with a mouthpiece for inhaling air.
It's elegant and light, but not too light because it still needs to feel solid in hand; it has many curves to fidget and play with.
It looks enough like a real vape or cigarette to feed the habit - I'm satisfied -
I gave it to the first friend who was curious to try AERIS, with whom I had discussed this project, and he gave me many tips regarding habits and mouthpiece dimensions. SUPER approved
I then printed others for other people, and they are all satisfied (obviously some use both cigarettes for when they are outside and AERIS for when they are in enclosed spaces)
I recommend printing vertically from the base; I've printed about 8 (final products), I've never had adhesion issues, so it should be fine without brim
It doesn't need supports in this orientation
