Description
The J-20 model aircraft is a twin 64mm ducted fan scale aircraft with an 886mm wingspan and 1450mm length, weighing approximately 1850g empty. The printed parts have the center of gravity marked, and assembly joints have alignment holes, allowing toothpicks to be cut as locating pins for the joints. It is easy to print and assemble
Print settings:
Print with ABS-ASA. The fuselage should have 1 wall and 3% gyroid infill. Modifier parts have been added to areas needing reinforcement within the file; please print these modifier locations with 3 walls and 10% infill. Use PETG for the front landing gear stress parts and reinforcement parts, printing them with 5 walls and 50% cubic infill
Electronics configuration:
Use a 6S3600mah battery. Placing it on the rear step of the battery compartment achieves the correct center of gravity. The empty weight of the printed model is around 1800g
According to the author's test aircraft, the takeoff weight with electronics reached 2900g. The thrust-to-weight ratio is close to 1. The author tested and found the J-20's low-speed performance to be good, capable of low-speed flight at a high angle of attack. Due to the sensitive canard pitch control, it is recommended not to set excessive angles, suggesting within ±20 degrees. Furthermore, for the canard static unstable configuration, it is recommended to install a flight controller for flight. Finally, I wish everyone happy flights without crashes
