Description
Custom Storage Box for Edge Trim Router
My router originally came in a simple cardboard box that quickly became worn out, saggy, and impractical. I decided to design and print a proper storage solution, and I’m really happy with how this turned out.
This box is designed to store a corded edge trim router along with all its included accessories. Keep in mind that accessory contents may vary depending on your region, as this model was purchased in Norway.
The design includes dedicated compartments for the router body and cable management, as well as a separate accessory area with its own lid. You’ll notice a cutout at the bottom of the box. This is intentional. To make room for the cable compartment, part of the internal divider wall had to be removed. The cutout helps stabilize that wall and prevents it from flexing or breaking over time.
I glued this section to the base for added strength, and I recommend doing the same. The cable compartment is covered by a lid that also features slots for the small wrenches included with the router, keeping everything organized and easy to access.
The result is a clean, compact, and durable storage solution that is a big upgrade from the original packaging and helps keep everything protected and in one place.
