3D Printed Vortex Tube
Print Profile(3)

Description
A small size profile has been released, A1 mini users please use the second profile for printing
*Notes:
1.The air inlet requires at least 0.4MPa or higher high-pressure air to have a significant effect, please take necessary protective measures and use air carefully to protect your and others' personal safety
2.Please use PETG, ABS, or other more temperature-resistant materials for printing
3.This structure does not have a sealed cavity, please do not block the cold end outlet
4.It is recommended to start from a lower pressure and gradually increase the pressure
5.There is significant noise during use, it is recommended to wear earplugs if used continuously for more than 5 minutes
A vortex tube entirely made by 3D printing, after high-pressure gas is introduced into the inlet, it can be divided into two streams of cold and hot air flowing out from both ends
By adjusting the opening of the regulating valve at the hot end, you can directly regulate the airflow rate at the hot end and indirectly regulate the temperature of the cold and hot ends
Use a locking ring to lock the hot end regulating valve to achieve a stable airflow state
The inlet and outlet interfaces are PT1/8 pipe threads, which are widely available, you can search for 6mm air pipe connectors
Assembly instructions can be found in the document
Through a rough experiment, when 18°C, 0.8MPa compressed air (flow rate unknown) is introduced
Increasing the hot end airflow rate can make the cold end reach -18℃ (at this point, the cold end airflow is low)
Decreasing the hot end airflow rate can make the hot end reach 28℃ (at this point, the hot end airflow is low)
Friends with high-pressure air nearby can try it for fun, it's really cold and will form frost
Always pay attention to air usage safety
